cartback — Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the cartback app for Shopify (“the Service”). By installing or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you can bind that business.

The Service

cartback captures abandoned checkouts on your Shopify store and sends timed recovery reminders to your shoppers over email and web push. Features, plans, and limits are described on cartback.shop and may evolve over time.

Your responsibilities

Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed through the Shopify Billing API on a recurring 30-day cycle, with the trial period shown at checkout. You can cancel anytime by downgrading or uninstalling; charges already made are non-refundable except where required by law or by Shopify’s own billing policies. Plan limits (such as monthly recovery messages) are enforced by the Service.

“Unlimited” on the Pro plan means unlimited within fair use: it covers the recovery-messaging needs of a single store operating normally. If a store sustains exceptionally high volume (as a guideline, more than 25,000 recovery messages per month), we may reach out to agree on a custom plan; we will never throttle or charge you without contacting you first.

Data and privacy

We process shopper data on your behalf as a processor, as described in the privacy policy. Shopper email addresses and names are encrypted at rest, retention is limited, and all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks are honored. A data processing addendum is available on request at support@cartback.shop.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost revenue.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app, which also deletes the data we hold for your store. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or abusive use, with notice where practicable.

The Service is operated by Pálinkás András E.V., Petőfi utca 6, 7668 Keszü, Hungary (tax ID: 55597096-1-22). Reach us at support@cartback.shop.
